2 trees are required for pollination to ensure optimal chestnut production. Prefers moderately acidic soil that is well drained. Full sun is optimal for growth, and tolerant of hot and humid summer seasons. A favorite for all wildlife including deer, squirrels, and turkey.
Trees are expected to be at least 4 ft in height at time of pick-up.
The bare root Chestnut Trees are grown in outdoor beds throughout spring and summer and upon fall, pulled out and bundled into groups of 5. Purchases ship during fall/winter months in a protected box with shipping on us.

Pawpaw trees produce a large sweet tasting fruit which can reach 1 lb. in size. They produce attractive tropical looking leaves which can add to any landscape of your yard. Pawpaw fruit is among the most healthy fruit available that can be enjoyed fresh, or by freezing the pulp for a later date.
Growing conditions include full sun to partial shade, slightly acidic moist soil, and requires regular watering. Full mature heights reach up to 30 feet tall and are able to bear fruit in several years. Frost tolerant, but prefers humid climate conditions.
For pollination purposes, they are not self pollinating and require pollination from a nearby unrelated tree which is mainly done so by insects or by hand.
Our White Oaks are grown as bare root seedlings in our greenhouse before moving outdoors to be hardened off. They are grouped in a bundle of 5 and are available to be shipped during their dormant seasons.
